The Gathering Garden became an official LLC in January 2025, but the vision truly came to life in February 2026 when founders Kiana and Sam Wolford moved to Michigan and began building what they had long dreamed of. Inspired by a small farmstand they loved in Arizona, they were drawn to more than just the food—it was the joy, sense of belonging, and genuine happiness shared by everyone who gathered there.
That farmstand became a blueprint for what they hoped to create in Sam’s home state of Michigan: a place rooted in fresh, wholesome food and meaningful connection. The name The Gathering Garden reflects this purpose, bringing people together around food, community, and shared experiences. With care, intention, and a great deal of hard work, Kiana and Sam are excited to cultivate a space where people feel welcome, inspired, and at home.
